The Massachusetts Systems Contractors Association is seeking exceptional and dynamic candidates to serve as Instructors for our upcoming school year beginning September 2026. The MSCA is a trade association of companies that are actively and currently engaged in the business of installing and/or servicing or supplying “electronic systems”. Established in 1978 as the Massachusetts Security Contractors Association, the name changed to Massachusetts Burglar & Fire Alarm Association in 1991. On January 15, 2003, we became the Massachusetts Systems Contractors Association, Inc. Our membership continues to grow each year.
The MSCA is licensed by the Massachusetts Division of Occupational Licensure, Office of Private Occupational School Education. Licensed by the Massachusetts DOL (LIC. #13100142-OS-NP), we employ the highest educational standards. Our school offers a host of classes that cover all aspects of licensure in the systems industry.
The MSCA is an inclusive Association for Technicians and Members of the systems industry and serves roughly 1100 technicians throughout our educational programs.

Job Summary:
Instructors will provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment collaborating with all technicians to review required Massachusetts standards-based curriculum for successful completion of our course.
Performance Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
- Update lesson plans as needed to continue to align with the state’s standards
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all instruction
- Prepare the classroom for class activities with the use of relevant technology to support instruction
- Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development
- Grade tests and/or exams administered and return to the MSCA Office
- Attendance must be taken each class and returned to the MSCA Office as soon as possible
- Maintain/Enforce discipline in accordance with the rules and regulations of the MSCA
- Participate in MSCA Instructor meetings
- Communicate necessary information regularly to the MSCA office regarding course changes/updates and technician issues
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Massachusetts System Contractor (C) License and Massachusetts System Technician (D) License holder for a minimum of 5 Years
- Highly Qualified as per Massachusetts Division of Occupational Licensure, Office of Private Occupational School Education
- Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities
- Outstanding verbal communication skills and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of relevant technologies: internet and email systems; presentation (PowerPoint) and spreadsheet (Excel) software
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the MSCA may find appropriate and acceptable
Job Details:
Part-time (September-June)
Compensation: $75/Hour
Schedule: Weeknights (5:30pm-9:30pm)
Locations: Lowell (area) MA, MSCA (Sharon MA) & NE Security (West Springfield MA)
Commitment: Instruction occurs in each location by subject agreed upon to teach. Subjects range from 1 week to 6 weeks of instruction. Locations are flexible due to geographic location.
